35 years of innovation

From Extrem, Bilomax, Sweet, and standard wood-fired boilers to modulating pellet evaporator models, LS Bilodeau equipment stands out in the world of maple syrup production.

Here is the evolution and refinement of our boilers over time

1989 : Foundation of LS Bilodeau

L.S. Bilodeau was founded in 1989 by Linda Bourgault and Sylvain Bilodeau in St-Éphrem-de-Beauce. Through resourcefulness and a strong work ethic, the company gradually expanded by undertaking sheet metal work, bodywork, and the design of maple syrup equipment. From that point on, the company became known for the quality of its work and its close relationship with a regional clientele.

1990s: Complete range of maple syrup equipment

With resourcefulness and a hands-on work ethic, the company gradually expanded by undertaking sheet metal work, bodywork, and designing maple syrup equipment. From the beginning, LS Bilodeau became known for the quality of its work and its close relationship with a regional clientele.

2003 : Patented silicone connectors

After filing the application in 1990, the patent was granted in 2003.

2009 : Patented Flow Inverter

Patent filed in 2002, granted in 2009. The patent was later improved in 2015.

2010: Smokeless Bilovax technology integrated into Extrem evaporators.

Maximum heat in the furnaces, minimum heat in the chimney. Particle reduction, combustion maximization. 50% more efficient, cleaner, and producing less creosote, this innovation is a small revolution for our evaporators and a significant economic and ecological advantage in favor of using wood as fuel.

2012 : Wood and Pellets-Fired Maple Syrup Extrem Evaporator with a glassed door

Modulating pellet evaporators with a large glass door have been around for a long time! In fact, here is a beautiful example in this video from our open house event in 2012.

2016 : First Maple Sap Silos

LS Bilodeau was the first maple equipment manufacturer to produce maple silos, a natural development following the acquisition of a cheese equipment and silo manufacturing company in Saint-Augustin a few years earlier. Often imitated but never equaled, our silos provide additional storage space to accommodate significant maple syrup runs without the need for additional buildings.

2018 : Wood and Pellets-Fired Maple Syrup Bilomax Evaporator with a glassed door

The wood pellet technology integrated into our smaller boiling models like the Bilomax was introduced in 2018 in front of our factory, and it still features the glass door for a complete vision.

2019 : Wood, pellet, and chip evaporator

A stop-motion of the delivery and installation of a beast of an evaporator: 6x18 wood, pellet, and chip!
